Restoration for Covington, Newport, Florence and Northern Kentucky

Northern Kentucky sits on the south bank of the Ohio River, where Kenton, Campbell and Boone counties climb from the floodplain onto steep, clay-heavy hillsides. That terrain shapes most of the water losses we see. Hillside lots in Fort Thomas, Fort Mitchell and Edgewood push groundwater against uphill basement walls after heavy rain, and the river towns of Covington, Newport, Bellevue and Dayton sit low enough that storm sewers and older laterals back up when the Ohio and the Licking River run high.

The housing stock changes block by block. Covington's MainStrasse Village and Licking Riverside districts, along with Newport's East Row, are full of nineteenth-century brick rowhouses with stone or brick foundations, plaster walls and plumbing that has been patched for generations. Farther south along I-75 and I-71, Florence, Union, Burlington, Hebron, Independence and Walton are dominated by newer subdivisions with finished basements that depend on a single sump pump. Drying a plaster wall in a Covington rowhouse and drying a finished basement in Union call for very different plans, and we build each one around the materials actually in the home.

Ohio Valley weather adds its own pressure. Winter freeze and thaw cycles split supply lines in crawlspaces and exterior walls, spring squall lines bring wind and hail across Boone County, and humid summers feed mold in basements and attics that never fully dry out. Our Northern Kentucky crews handle water extraction, structural drying, mold remediation, fire and smoke cleanup and storm response, and we document every job so your insurance claim moves forward without guesswork.

    Serving Communities Across Northern Kentucky

    Covington and MainStrasse Village

Historic brick rowhouses with plaster walls and aging supply lines. We dry plaster and old-growth framing in place wherever possible instead of tearing out original materials.

    Newport and Bellevue

Riverfront homes and older multifamily buildings see sewer backups when heavy rain meets a high river. We treat these as contaminated water losses, with cleaning and sanitizing built into the plan.

    Fort Thomas and Highland Heights

Hillside lots send groundwater toward basement walls after storms. We extract standing water and dry the masonry and finished surfaces before mold has a chance to start.

    Florence and Erlanger

A mix of 1960s ranches and newer homes means everything from burst crawlspace lines to water heater failures. Thermal imaging finds moisture hiding in walls and under flooring.

    Union and Verona

Newer subdivisions with finished lower levels rely on sump pumps that can fail during storm outages. We pull water fast and dry carpet, pad and drywall with monitored equipment.

    Burlington and Hebron

Growing neighborhoods near the airport corridor see appliance leaks, storm damage and roof openings. We tarp and secure the home before the next system rolls through.

    Independence and Walton

Rural edges and newer builds along I-75 deal with well and sump issues and wind-driven storm damage. Our crews cover the southern end of Kenton and Boone counties around the clock.

Fort Mitchell, Edgewood and Villa Hills

Established neighborhoods with mature trees and finished basements. We respond to tree strikes, basement seepage and kitchen fires with full documentation for your insurance company.

If safe to do so: turn off the water source (for water damage), ventilate the area, move valuables to a dry location, and avoid walking on wet carpets. Do not use household vacuums on standing water. Our dispatch team can walk you through immediate steps over the phone.

Northern Kentucky has its own local team and its own phone line at (859) 359-3445. Crews are staged on the Kentucky side, so calls from Covington, Newport, Florence, Union and the surrounding towns do not wait on bridge traffic from Ohio.

Many older river-town homes connect to combined sewers. When heavy rain hits while the Ohio River is high, the system can push water back up through floor drains. That water is contaminated, so we extract it, remove soaked porous materials, clean and sanitize, then dry the space with monitored equipment.

Often, yes. Plaster and brick hold a lot of water but can usually be dried in place with dehumidifiers, air movement and daily moisture readings. We only recommend removal when readings or contamination make drying in place the wrong choice.
